FPGA AI Hackathon was held
Venue :
Inawashiro, Fukushima, HotSPA2025
Overview:
"The FPGA AI Hackathon is a design competition aimed at sparking interest in semiconductors among people who do not have hardware design skills, using AI as the entry point. Until now, it had been trialed within the University of Tokyo, but this year, it was held as part of a joint workshop by the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE) and the Information Processing Society of Japan (IPSJ). The event welcomed Mr. Yamaguchi, the chair of the Reconfigurable Systems research group, as the head judge, and Mr. Kobayashi, the incoming chair, as one of the judges. Participants were invited from across the country. Out of the 17 participating teams, a university alliance team that achieved an astonishing FPS performance took first place, though all teams presented excellent designs. Details will be posted on our blog."
